Pumpkin Patch at Hunt Club Farm
This fall has been a busy one and we have been trying to fit in a family pumpkin patch visit but it hasn't worked out with our schedule. Yesterday afternoon Daddy got home from work early so we high tailed it over to Hunt Club Farm. The weather was beautiful and hardly anyone else was there. It was perfect! We found our special pumpkin and took it home to carve and made pumpkin seeds. This was the first year both girls were really into the carving process. Daddy had lots of help! So glad we made it over to Hunt Club.

Camping at Pocahontas State Park
This past weekend we took the girls camping with our friends the Porratas. We have been planning this trip for a few weeks now, but a few days out Brandy and I freaked out with the temps projected to dip into the low 30's at night. Eeek that is cold to be tent camping with our little ones! But we were determined to go no matter what so we rented a camper for some heat and changed our campsite a few times to find a spot that could hook up the camper, we eventually settled on Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield VA. I was proud of myself because I overcame the cold and slept in the tent with Nate both nights, we even woke up to frost the first night. The park was beautiful and was the perfect place to camp for us.
This was taken right after we set up camp. We are the camp set up champs!!
Fond memories!
Lots of awesome trails to hike and bike. We got lost once for over an hour!
We took the kids Geocaching for the first time. Everyone had a lot of fun doing it, especially my mountain man who loves to explore and hunt for treasure.
This cache was found by Gabey!
Nate pulling Roman and Reagan in the bike carrier as Ramses navigates to the next Cache!
I was so proud of myself when I found this one!!
We hiked around Beaver Lake
The mountain mommas!
The kids had so much fun playing on the John Deere. They explored for hours all around the campsite.
Pretty sure Gabe was saving Aubrey from Zombies here. Those two are so cute together!
Aubrey tore it up on her balance bike!
Nate trying to figure out how much Zeus weighs! I spy some kids on a tractor in the background:)
So many fun memories! We made some great camp food too, it was a successful trip overall.

Busch Gardens
Last Saturday we took the girls to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. Nate and I were really impressed with Busch Gardens, the grounds were beautiful and they had so much to offer for little kids and adults (Nate and I secretly want to go back by ourselves)! I loved how Busch Gardens was broken up into different countries and each area had very unique rides, shows, food, drinks, animals, that pertained to that country. The weather was perfect, lines were short and the best part was they offer military families one free visit per year so we got in free! The girls did so good all day long and we had to force them out of the park at 6pm. The workers there warned us to leave then because that's when Howl-O-Scream starts and it apparently gets super scary after dark.
First stop Sesame Street!
First ride Oscar's Whirly Worms
Aubrey loved going up and hugging the characters, Reagan not so much.
The girls and their Prince riding to the top of Elmo's Spire:)
They loved this ride, the water shot up around the dragon they were in.
Aubrey really impressed us by going on this legit roller coaster. It was real fast but short so before you could get scared it was over.
The park had a Gondola ride that went all around the park. You could see all the rides and people below you and make it to a different "country" quickly. Girls loved it!
There were lots of Halloween decorations set up for Howl-O-Scream.
Carousel Fun!
Roo Roo was a trooper! She skipped her nap and just kept having fun all day long.
Mommy enjoyed the rides a little too much.
Lady bug pals.
We got them Italian Ice when we were in Italy. Yep, turned their mouths blue and red for the rest of the day.
Teacups! We had so much fun doing this all together. I know Pap would've liked them too!
This Clydesdale was very happy to see us. Mommy is so immature!
Yippee for a super fun day!
