8 Months!

I can't believe Aubrey is 8 months old today! I started crying last night when I was rocking her thinking about how fast she has grown. I know she won't be like this for long (as the Darius Rucker song states:) so I make a point to cherish and appreciate the everyday moments I have with her.
This past month Aubrey has been....

*Moving from laying to sitting up on her own.
*Crawling, right now she seems to prefer the scoot over the crawl. I don't know if its official crawling but its pretty darn close.
*Eating lots more foods (prunes, zucchini, avocado, oatmeal, apples, pears, potatoes, and apricots to name a few). I really enjoy making her baby food and knowing exactly what she is eating. My Aunt bought me the Beaba Babycook from Williams Sonoma and it is awesome! Its a steamer, blender, warmer, and defroster in one.
*Had her first cold (this was not very fun)
*Signing "Milk." At this point she uses the milk sign for anything she wants but I am excited that she is at least picking it up.
*LOVES playing fetch with Reba. She laughs and laughs and gets really excited about it. She has also learned how to pet Reba.
*Loves to dance with Mommy!
*Her favorite book is Llama Llama Red Pajama. Most books she loses interest in quickly (would rather eat the book) but for some reason this book keeps her eyes locked on the pages the entire time!
Here are a few pics I took today to mark Aubrey's 8 month birthday. She was all bundled up in her winter outfit and then had a poop explosion and therefore only has her winter hat on!
Thanks for cleaning me Mom, sorry for the mess!

I just love Reba (I think it might be her first word:)

Playing fetch

See Mom doesn't always have something on my head!

  3. You should sign DOG with her whenever you talk about or play with Reba. Do the one where you just tap your upper leg. (There's also a version where you snap, but the leg one is more saliant and different from the other things you are signing.)

Just a thought if you want a new sign to incorporate. :)

  4. Reba says "Finally this thing they brought home 8 months ago can play." Aubrey is a doll and brings a smile to my face everytime I read your blog.
