Minnie Mouse Party!

On Saturday we celebrated Aubrey's 3rd birthday in the backyard with some friends and family. A few months ago I asked her what kind of a party she wanted and Mickey and Minnie Mouse was her top pick! I went with the red, black, and polka dot theme and got tons of ideas for food and decorations from pinterest.   The weather turned out to be absolutely gorgeous and we had a blast. It was the perfect day for a back yard bbq. I didn't get as many pictures as I hoped but thats okay because I was busy having fun instead!

First off the dresses! My Aunt Jenny made the girls coordinating outfits that went with the color scheme. Below are the only two photos of Reagan, she went down for a nap in the middle of the party so we don't have that many of her.

I made ears for all the kids and had to make some for me too:)

Aubrey and her first guests eating some popcorn before everyone else arrives!

The Minnie Mouse pinata was a big hit (pun intended:)  Nate and I made it out of cardboard, tape and crepe paper -- it was so easy, super cheap, and we had a lot of fun doing it. We let all the little kids go once and then I had the two older boys (my special reinforcements) come in to whack Minnie open for candy chaos! Here are a few of the kids hitting Minnie....

We rented a bounce house and had a blast with it all day long. They didn't come pick it up until 7:30pm so we had fun with it as a family after the party. Aubrey came up to me in the bounce house and said "Thank you Mommy for my own bounce house!" She thought we were keeping it:)

When I asked Aubrey what her favorite thing about her birthday party was she said eating the cake Brandy made, girlfriend has a sweet tooth for sure (observe sucker in hand)!

Nana flew in from Texas, Pap flew in from Qatar, and Uncle Ben drove up from North Carolina to celebrate with us. I didn't get any group shots with them:( Thanks for helping make Aubrey's 3rd birthday so special!
