July 4th

Wow, it has been forever since I last posted anything and so much has happened!  I need to start doing better with my digital scrapbook so we can capture more of these precious and fleeting days while the girls are young.

We celebrated Independence Day this year at Uncle Ben's beach house in Surf City, NC. It's nice having Uncle Ben only 4.5 hrs south of us instead of across the ocean. He has a great beach pad just steps from the water. Ben's beach has shells unlike our beach and the girls loved looking for treasures! The girls' favorite thing to do was play in the "pond" that was left behind when the tide went out every afternoon. Aubrey is still timid around the big waves but the "pond" was the perfect alternative for her. Both girls would sit and splash in the shallow water for hours. We even found a few fish in it.  Reagan had no fear and loved walking up and down the shore and playing in the water, ultra saggy diaper and all! She is our beach baby for sure!

I only got out my camera once the entire time we were there and that day the girls were on different nap schedules so I don't have any picture of the entire family. The girls have so much fun playing together now and it makes me sad I didn't capture some of those moments I have in my head. Anyways here are a few others...
