I took this Big Sky sunset picture from the car as we were almost there!
After a long 22 hours on the road we finally made it to Denton, Texas!!!
As soon as we got to Mimi's house the spoiling began. The girls love to play dress up and Mimi got them all kinds of fun stuff to play with. The butterfly wings were a huge hit!
We spent two days at Lake Ray Roberts on Mimi and Pa's boat. The girls LOVE the water and didn't want to leave the lake. I got these Puddle Jumper floaties at Target and the girls feel very comfortable in the water with them, they call them "fishies" and I highly recommend them.
Swimming with Mimi in party cove.
Learning to play Frisbee with Daddy
Pa made a grill out of beach rocks for our 4th of July picnic!
Girls gobbled up every morsel as usual!
Nate calls this picture "Freedom".
Pa got the girls a human hamster ball and Daddy showed them how it was done!
We saw a great fireworks show in Denton at UNT stadium. The music nearly blew out our eardrums but it was still a great show!
Mimi got tickets to the Perot Museum in Dallas. It was incredible!
Here the kids wore 3D glasses and controlled a soaring eagle by moving their arms.
Reagan had to try flying like her big sissy!
After a fun few days in Denton we were off to the Hill Country to see my parents. Post on that fun next!

What a fun holiday! So glad we got a couple of "lake girlies"--mimi was so impressed with their swimming and confidence in the water! And I will be sending that straight-flying frisbee back to Y'all! Thanks for coming-miss ya already!!xoxo
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had fun. The pic of Aubs flying like an eagle looks like Jenn in her competitive computer game state (the light pressing game). Those girls think their Daddy is the "man" and he is!!!
