Texas in July::: Fun at Nana & Pap's

Uncle James and Aunt Courtney made the trip over from Houston and we all headed to Landa Park in New Braunfels. This place had tons of fun stuff to do!  We swam in an icy cold spring, took a train ride around the park, fed the ducks, and then played at the aquatics complex that was also fed by the river water.

My husband can't just jump off the rope swing, he had to do a back flip!

These picture are from the next day, we took the girls to a cool area of the Comel River to play and go tubing.  The girls really showed their love for the water this trip playing here with Daddy and Uncle Taylor! They wanted to be in the river all the time, I guess that means they are official river rats!!

At Gruene Hall one afternoon, Texas' oldest dance hall. We took Aubrey dancing while Reagan napped, they had a Texas swing band playing.

One night Nate took me two steppin' at Gruene Hall, it was a blast!

My parents live in New Braunsfels but they are a 2 minute golf cart ride to downtown Gruene. We had a lot of fun taking the golf cart downtown acting like locals.

The girls LOVE going on golf cart rides and doing "rocket-blast"! Pap came up with another game to look for the "hairy man" and they got a kick out of that. Here they are looking for the hairy man with pap and popsicles!

The girls loved meeting Taylor's big hound dog Buddy.

We had a blast on our trip to Texas. The girls keep asking us when we will go back! I must fess up, I am not a road trip girl and don't enjoy being stuck in a vehicle for 23 hours. The girls did amazing and were total troopers on the road. Nate was teasing me (but its true) and gave me the "worst road trip passenger" award. He drove the entire time, that pilot knows how to stay focused.

  1. Nana and Pap had fun too!! We had to sleep for two days after they left to recover. Getting old isn't fun. Can't wait to see you guys again soon.
